On the GEO portal there are many different tests checking your knowledge of geography: countries, capitals, cities, flags and coats of arms. You are free to test yourself in either of them. In each test, you will score points for correct answers. And points scored in all the tests are summarized in the final result of each participant.

Overall rank is the list of participants, on top of which are the best of the best, who scored the greatest number of points in the tests. There are twenty listed positions presented on the page at the same time, and navigational arrows, leading to previous or next twenty. All in all, you can see the top five hundred participants, although the total number of the participants is now more than a few thousand people and is growing steadily.

A "Geography Expert" order is given for achieving a certain number of points in the overall standings: Order of the 3d rank for 5000 points, the 2d rank for 50,000 points, and, finally, a Geography Expert of the 1st rank is given to anyone who steps over the mark of 150,000 points.

Also, a record is being kept separately on the best results in each test for all the time and for the current day.
